CommentPeafowl are an introduced species in several local suburban areas. There is conflict because of the noise, the droppings, the tendency of the birds to take dog and cat food, and even the traffic hazards they generate. I chose this image because it is easy to see the other side of the story: the brilliant plumage. In this bird one feather is regrowing during the moult.
