CommentI am partial to photos that show birds in their landscape or habitat. Treecreepers particularly lend themselves to this as they can get themselves into seem really picturesque surroundings- bark, trunks, branches. I haven't nailed the photo that is in my mind yet but this is one of my closest. It was a reflex snap- I only managed 2 images before the bird was gone. It is not perfectly sharp (hard to tell as I've reduced to 1800 px wide). Ideally I would have taken at higher ISO and with an aperture of f/8 to get more of the front branch sharper. It's in a giant River Red Gum which was below the bank of the Murray so I was at eye level. Every time I pass this tree I look for treecreepers- none seen in the tree since!
