CommentI have made efforts, so far unsuccessfully, to have the local authorities remove this floating detritus that has accumulated over the past two months at Coburg Lake Reserve. It continues to be a visual eyesore and threat to our local birdlife. A few weeks ago I photographed another moorhen in the same location with something impaled in its back and had to contact wildlife rescue. The Dusky Moorhen in the photo seems to be accusing me “…and this is the nightmarish plastic, metal, styrofoam wasteland where you expect me to live”.
