CommentWhile visiting family in the Gippsland Lakes region during the recent fires, we took a break in the smoke haze to see Raymond Island. While there we came across a small family of tawny frogmouths. These are the parents. A single, rather large and fluffy chick was nestled nearby (see IMG 40379).
None of the birds seem to bother about the small crowd of tourists stopped to photograph them.
