CommentThe main features which distinguish this bird from a juvenile Pacific Gull are the paler head and neck, and more chequered upperparts and wing-coverts, possible also a less aggressive beak profile.
EquipmentCanon EOS 5D IV EF 400 f/4 DO IS II + 1.4x TC III, at 560mm, centre spot servo AF, handheld Manual exposure, 1/1600 sec, f/7.1, ISO 1250 Processing: Lightroom Classic CC2020 for RAW conversion and initial adjustments, then Photoshop CC2020 where Neat Image was used to apply moderate noise reduction to the bird, and greater noise reduction to the background.
