CommentA White-faced Heron stalking in a shallow pool at the mouth of an inlet slowing drying up in the summer heat. I watched this heron for about 30 minutes catching tiny fish caught in the pool and snapped a few nice poses, but I liked the proud stance and careful step of the heron in this shot with the soft background created by the beach.
EquipmentCanon EOS 5D MKIII, Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Sports lens. Prone, handheld, manual exposure, f/6.3, 1/2500, ISO 1250 and post processed using DPP4, PSE and Neat Image.
