CommentAfter several hours commando crawling through grass on top of a sand dune chasing very shy and well camouflaged Elegant Parrots, I managed to get close enough to get this shot of a male trying to blend into its surroundings. *** I believe I initially misidentified this as a Rock Parrot and have corrected to Elegant Parrot due to the yellow in the face as referenced in the Australian Bird Guide
EquipmentCanon EOS 5D MKIII, Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Sports lens. Handheld, manual exposure, F/6.3, 1/500, ISO 800 and post processed using DPP4, PSE and Neat Image.
