Comment | This was a difficult one to photograph as it was about 11:30am on a hot and bright day. All I could see with the naked eye were some tail feathers shining in the sun poking out of the hollow the Owl appeared to be using to escape the heat. The tree had a whitish/grey trunk. Had to overexpose the tree trunk to get a reasonable exposure on the Owl. Luckily the over exposure to the trunk was largely recovered in Photoshop. | ||||||||||||||||||
Equipment | Canon 7Dii. Canon 500mm f4 ii lens on a tripod. ISO 200 at f/7.1 in Aperture Priority set to Partial metering. Developed in Photoshop. | ||||||||||||||||||
