CommentMale Musk Ducks are show-ponies. Even in the absence of any females, this male seemed quite aware of the spectacle created by both his unusual bill lobe and spiky tail. Centering the image on the upraised tail feathers and with the head in profile arguably reinforce this spectacle, while the plain pastel surrounds provide colour while ensuring there is no distraction.
