CommentThis female Hardhead Duck was swimming leisurely past the bird hide platform at Bibra Lake, followed by a string of admirers. The male captured was the closest of the suitors, as she went by, but he was soon overtaken by another usurper, which slyly nicked his spot. It is easy to determine the difference between the sexes in adult birds in breeding plumage and condition: Only the male has a white eye! Bibra Lake; GPS. Status: Least Concern
