CommentAdult male, nominate race roseicapilla (rosy-capped) from Western Australia south of the Kimberley. This portrait shows the partly raised crest in the 'Cap Display' described in HANZAB as usually indicating alertness, probably due to the presence of two photographers hiding in a nearby bush.
EquipmentCanon 1Dx II + 600 mm f/4 III + 1.4x III extender, hand-held. Manual, partial metering, AI Servo spot AF, f/5.6, 1/1600 sec, ISO 125. Processed using DPP4 and PSE14 with Neat Image plug-in.
