CommentThis 1st year bird, was part of a group of three Pacific Gulls at Bushrangers Bay, Cape Schanck. The group, an adult female and a 4th year male, moved together between beach and water, spending much of the time, splashing and preening themselves. Even at this age, the large bill, now black-tipped and which later will turn red, is an obvious indicator of a Pacific Gull.
