CommentNote tiny hind claw to distinguish it from Pacific Golden Plover. There are residual dark patches of breeding plumage. This bird is eating a worm that it had captured. Note the dismembered fragments of worm. Note 1: I have applied several post processing suggestions made by Ian Wilson in his talk at the Freemantle BLP Photography Conference and, IMO, the result is a distinct improvement. Note 2: This is the same bird as the other Grey Plover image I uploaded from this location.
