Eastern Reef Egret

Eastern Reef Egret (Image ID 36537)
CommentThis pair of dark form Eastern Reef Egret (Egretta sacra) foraged close to each other in the estuary at Considine Beach at North Keppel Island, Central Queensland. I love how they are overlapped as they pass each other, showing how close they are. This pair tried to stay together despite a Great Egret harassing them and trying to drive them from this productive spot.
