CommentThis management sign worked for most but not all dog owners. The nest site was in a very heavy traffic area. The nest site was obvious to the experienced birder. I observed no surviving chicks. The main problem seemed to be that what constituted 'the area' was not obvious.
I would like to think that some of my images here and there have been used in the same way the images in this sign are being used: for the potential conservation benefit of the birds.
NOTE that the original image of the chick and of the adult brooding are both contrary to BLP guidelines.
