CommentI had been using the technique of sharpening the whole bird at the same strength following image resizing. The problem is that often some areas of the bird are already at the right sharpness while others need lifting. In my view, this image shows the benefit of post processing using the PSE13 sharpen mode more flexibly. For example, some of the darker areas have been sharpened using a small pixil brush in lighten mode. Similarly, some yellow areas have been lifted using sharpen in luminosity mode. A very small pixil brush still has been used to sharpen just the areas around the eye.
