Musk Lorikeet

Musk Lorikeet (Image ID 47145)
CommentIn tree-top habitat, though almost within arm's reach in a Red Gum sapling. No blossom was available, but the bird was delicately nibbling insect-affected leaves - perhaps seeking tasty larvae. I liked the detail of the brilliant eye, face markings and beak action - and the bird's confiding behaviour.
