Eastern Spinebill

Eastern Spinebill (Image ID 47114)
CommentThe Eastern Spinebill is one of my favourite birds and this photo captured not only the adaptation of this bird to insert its long bill to feed from a kangaroo paw flower but also the contrasting colours through white, rufous browns to bluish black. The colours of the spinebill also contrast to the greens of the kangaroo paw flower.
