Spotted Pardalote

Spotted Pardalote (Image ID 46960)
CommentA tiny Spotted Pardalote foraging amongst the foliage of a eucalyptus tree. Large trees provide these birds with protection as they search for tiny insects to feed on. This pardalote has just plucked himself a spider from the web below. I like the pose of the Spotted Pardalote in this image and how the tiny spider legs can be seen hanging out from it's beak. The web just catching the light adds another element and the blue background provides a nice contrast.
