Eastern Rosella

Eastern Rosella (Image ID 46958)
CommentAn Eastern Rosella nestled amongst the foliage of one of our many native acacias. Shrubs and trees such as these provide birds with both food and protection. In this instance the Rosella had just finished feeding on the dried brown seeds pods visible throughout the foliage. I have chosen this image as I like how the brightly coloured feathers provide a pop of colour amongst the acacia leaves.
