Eurasian Coot

Eurasian Coot (Image ID 46443)
CommentFor me, this image is all about the light. I love how the backlight is sparkling in the water drops and on the head of the bird just after it has shaken its head. I also like the light playing on the surface of the water in both the plane of focus and in the background. The blurred feather in the foreground, and the swans in the background add a bit of balance and interest to the photo as well. The believe the photo is well composed, with acceptable focus and sharpness considering the shutter speed was a bit below what I would have liked in the ideal situation!
