Purple Swamphen

Purple Swamphen (Image ID 46435)
CommentClose up Portrait of Purple Swamphen taken in the evening. I am pleased with the little details of grass flowers underneath the bird and blurry foliage on back ground which has a soft appearance. ISO was raised as this was taken in the evening . Bird was not agitated and posed while feeding and slowly moving among the grass . I am happy with bird's natural colours are clearly visible. Tiny petals of grass flowers on its head shield provides a 'forehead decoration' to the bird . As I was fairly closer to the bird at its eye level I focused on head and upper body. small area of legs are visible and shows its bright skin markings.
