Purple Swamphen

Purple Swamphen (Image ID 46041)
Resolution1800x1200
ID46041
CommentI chose this image because I felt it really captures the very cautious and secretive life of the Swamphen chick. Unlike the adults which happily graze on the open grasslands, the chicks are far more reticent to show themselves.
