Black-tailed Native-hen (Image ID 46020)
CommentFor an awkward looking bird, Black-tailed Native Hen move very quickly. I was pleased to photograph this one coming towards me have way through its wadling course across the wetlands. The image also captures the short green grass in the background. The feathers are quite dull and coursebut what more can you ask for than yellow eye. green shield and coral pink legs all in the one bird.
