Eurasian Coot

Eurasian Coot (Image ID 45925)
CommentCooties are hardly the cutest things around, at least at this age, but feeding chicks is always interesting.
Taken early morning the rising sun backlighting the chick highlighted the feathers (?) nicely.
It would have been better to have mum facing the camera, but I think this still works OK.
I also like the color of the water and background blending together.
Keywordsfemale, juvenile, feeding/with prey
