Eurasian Coot

Eurasian Coot (Image ID 45906)
CommentThe main features of a coot are the striking red eyes contrasted against the almost luminous bill and shield, the rest of the bird is pretty plain black. So I made these features as prominent as I could.
Having little other color or noticeable details makes the eye and beak even more prominent.
The composure of having the beak angled down to the corner seemed to look best.
