Buff-banded Rail

Buff-banded Rail (Image ID 45889)
CommentThe Rail had slowed down a little to fossick amount the ground cover. Waiting patiently, and lying flat in the grass the rail was finally close enough to get this portrait shot. The feathers are incredible, love the colours patterns and how they certainly make this bird beautiful. I learnt a lot about light this day, in the shade the rail is a dull as, in the light it shined.
