Buff-banded Rail

Buff-banded Rail (Image ID 45877)
CommentI was already sat at a picnic table when this buff-banded Rail came out of the bushes where it had been probing for insects judging by the soil on its beak. I was able to get a good close up shot of what is usually a very shy bird as I was already in good position. I like the brightness of the eye and the sharpness of the feathers.
