Dusky Moorhen

Dusky Moorhen (Image ID 45840)
CommentI sat for over an hour to get some shots of these Dusky Moorhens. They are quite standoffish and tend to move off when I come in with my Camera. By sitting and waiting they eventually ignored me and continued with their normal activity. Captured in afternoon light with sun over my shoulder, giving a beautiful golden cast to the bird and background. The bird is exhibiting nice eye contact, and is in an engaging pose. I like how the reeds are working as leading lines leading your eye to the bird. I'm pleased with this image, overall
