CommentSsp occidentalis .I like this image that clearly shows the eponymous purple gape which can be hard to see in the field.
EquipmentCanon EOS 7D MkII + 300mm f/2.8L MkII + 1.4x MkIII extender. Manual, spot metering, f/8 1/ 640 sec, ISO 400. Processed with DPP4 & Photoshop Elements 15 with Neat Image plug-in.
