CommentI selected this photo due to bird species, opportunity, capturing a moment in time, composition, and clarity of image. It's not every day that an endangered bird species visits my native flora garden with bird bath. A lone bird momentarily departed from its flock to take advantage of readily available fresh water. Fortunately I had my camera close by. The challenge was preparing quickly and quietly to achieve a clear image in fading light, utilising a relatively slow shutter speed, widest possible aperture, and higher ISO than I would usually employ. The image catches the birds eye, and the water droplet adds an element to the composition. The image as a whole indicates that endangered species can utilise urban areas if the means is provided.
