CommentLatham's Snipe feeding on our dam. These birds turn up occasionally on their migration from Japan to the southern states. This year a pair stayed on the farm for 3 weeks, feeding on worms and small crustaceans in the silt around the Dams edge. This shot was taken during 3 hours of sitting cramped in a cold wind, without moving. Took a week to get over it.
EquipmentNikon D7500 - Nikon 200 - 500 mm Lens - 500 mm - f 7.1 - 1/800th sec - (default setting is ISO 1000 on auto ISO)
