CommentI reckon all Mums could relate to this image … “Mum, I’m Hungry!” Musk Ducklings are the cutest and I was excited to find a little family of the on a local pond late one afternoon. The two ducklings would curl up in a fluffy ball and wait while Mum went diving for food, then swim flat out to her for a feed when she surfaced. On this dive Mum came up empty handed and gave the little one’s begging the cold shoulder. The late afternoon reed reflections on either side of them created the perfect tones and light to draw attention to the begging duckling. I only got about 10 minutes with them before they disappeared into the reed, so I was happy to capture this shot.
