Silvereye

Silvereye (Image ID 44880)
Resolution1800x1200
ID44880
CommentAs the Summer has progressed, the flocks of Silvereyes have slowly increased. Although a common bird in our area I find them difficult to photograph as they are often shaded by the foliage in which they feed. I found this image of an individual that had briefly popped into the sun particularly appealing as it demonstrates the complex and unnusal combination of colourings of the species.
