White-winged Fairy-wren

White-winged Fairy-wren (Image ID 44819)
CommentThe blue on blue, with the splash of green really makes this image appealing to my eye. I also like how the whole body of the bird is clearly visible, in focus, and alert, like it's looking for something. I deliberately did not crop in very much as I wanted the small size of the wren to be obvious in the shot, and I think this works with the large amount of negative space around the bird (I also wanted to maintain much of the green vegetation).
