Comment | An early morning shot of a yellow-billed spoonbill at Herdsman Lake. This individual was perched on a railing along the board-walk and had a backbround of lake and distant shoreline with reeds and trees. The Sun had a low angle and provided a nice highlight and shading on the birds head and feathers. The shallow depth of focus and placement of the distant trees provided a black background that happened to match the outline of the birds head and neck and provided a lot of tecture to the background colouring. | |||||||||||||||
