Ruddy Turnstone

Ruddy Turnstone (Image ID 44742)
CommentEarly morning and the sun was just lighting up the Ruddy Turnstone family. They return each year to our beach and look very tired and thinner after their flight from the Arctic. This was early on their arrival and all were sorting the sea weeds for morsels. I just enjoy this photo as it is a greeting to me, a reminder of their summer tourist season. What a mammoth flight!
