Comment | This male Satin Bowerbird first constructed a bower in our garden several years ago and he continues to tend it. I chose this image because we don't often get to see him engaged in his construction activities - he typically flies off if we approach even at a distance. The image is a glimpse into his private world. A cluttered foreground would normally rule out an image for me, but in this case it mirrors the fact that his bower is concealed under dense vegetation and that we are seeing something usually hidden. | |||||||||||||||
