Comment | I've chosen this image because Rainbow Lorikeets are daily visitors to our garden and this image captures their raucous behaviour when they get together in numbers. The image conveys the riot of colour, noise and movement that accompanied their bathing on a hot day. I try to avoid visually noisy backgrounds but in this instance I feel this adds to the mood, rather than distracting from it. The timing of the shot is pleasing as it captures the bird in flight with wings spread. This provides both a focal point and a contrasting pose to the other birds. | |||||||||||||||
