Whiskered Tern

Whiskered Tern (Image ID 44461)
CommentThis group of Whiskered Terns was moving quite rapidly along the shoreline where I was lying on the seaweed observing them, and waiting for them to get close to me. They were flying 1–2 metres above the ground, and diving down from time-to-time to feed on the insects and invertebrates in the wet seaweed. I was particularly pleased to be able to capture them flying, about to dive, and actually diving, all in one image.
