Purple Swamphen

Purple Swamphen (Image ID 44412)
CommentWhy should this capture be a contender : 1, late afternoon sun. 2, the pose of the left wing enables the viewer to be captivated by the coloration. 3, the grass shoot being turned in the beak to enable it to be swallowed. 4,the depth of field focus of the main subject is perfect. 5, the image pops with the grass seed in the foreground, giving the overall look of 3D. 6, the perfect shot.
