CommentOut early one morning I noticed the Welcome Swallows were landing on and competing for a number of timber stakes amongst the samphire. I decided to sit down, set up my tripod, focus on the stakes, and hopefully catch some of the fast action. I was really pleased to capture this moment, with the eye of each bird visible and the complementary background colours, hence choosing it for this competition.
