Comment | This image was taken under very windy conditions with the foliage moving wildly. Rapid, continuous exposure allowed me to get the shot. When endangered Swift Parrots come to Tasmania to breed each spring they almost always nest near flowering Southern Blue Gums. In this image I like that her foot clasps one Blue Gum fruit while she removes the operculum from another fruit to get at the "goodies" inside. | |||||||||||||||
