Red-capped Robin

Red-capped Robin (Image ID 44283)
CommentWhen I captured this last August it was a first time encounter for me and I was blown away and so selected this shot firstly for the emotional experience it reminds me of every time I look at it. Secondly it was technically a very rewarding shot for many reasons. Good eye visibility and sharpness. General composition was pleasing as I also love barbed wire and rust which gave me balance, texture and additional interest. Colour was next and wow that red! The clean greenish texture making a very nice contrast to the red and the white plumage is white and detail crisp. Bill and Head direction is good and eye contact with the camera is superb.
