Australian Pelican

Australian Pelican (Image ID 43250)
CommentI have chosen to enter this photo because it fits the theme of Reflections, and I like the fact that it shows the moment the pelican is plunging its beak into the water in search of food,. There is good eye contact and I like the symmetry of the bird and its reflection, coupled with the shape created by the pelican's long neck and bill. It is a good illustration of the pelican's feeding behaviour.
