Pied Stilt

Pied Stilt (Image ID 42835)
CommentThis wetland would usually be teeming with bird life. Instead one Pied Stilt hunted the tiny amount of water left. It was golden hour and the Stilt chose to hunt in the shadows making the light somewhat challenging, but I loved using the little light there was that highlighted both bird and the water surface and gave the image such a wonderful golden glow.
