Australian Pied Oystercatcher

Australian Pied Oystercatcher (Image ID 42409)
CommentThis image to me is visually pleasing. I like the way that the bird is strolling away but with the angle you can still see the eye staring reflectively at the water. The different view of the bird is also appealing. It is not the usual side or front face image. The time of day, the golden hour for light, was fading and I was wandering the edge of the salt lake watching the birds feed. As the sun sank I found the colours changed. This makes this photo more artistic than technically perfect.
