Australasian Darter

Australasian Darter (Image ID 42376)
CommentIm lucky enough to live close to a lake system which attracts these amazing Australian Darters,
This is a female of a pair which call the lake area their home, so I was thrilled one morning to take is shoot with perfectly still mirror water with lovely mist coming off the water.
I like the way she's resting her head and neck, very relaxed.
The light was good, morning glow highlighting some of her back feathers.
