CommentThis is a rare photograph of the Central NSW population of the Striated Grasswren that may soon be raised to subspecies status as the nominate subspecies (Black et al in press, 2020). If so it will become A.s. striatus. It is now extremely rare. This photo was taken over 17 years ago with my first digital camera (D1H). Resolution of this camera was woeful in comparison to modern cameras. I used Topaz Gigapixel to double the size of the image and then Topaz Sharpen. After this I resized to 1800 px i Lightroom.
EquipmentNikon D1H with Nikon 80-400 VR zoom, at 250mm. 1/500sec, f/6.7. ISO not recorded?
Location~50 km N of Yathong Nature Reserve, New South Wales
