Double-barred Finch

Double-barred Finch (Image ID 40545)
CommentThe grasses were full of seed and the Finches and Manikins were all out in the early morning raiding the seeds along the side of the pathway. Landing on the grass it would buckle and bend with the weight of the little birds as they did their balancing act to hastily strip the frond of its seeds.Trying to keep up with the movement in order to get the shot was quite interesting. The backdrop of the reeds and grass can be seen in the background.
